Wouldn't we all love to be paid for our hobbies : ). But then I suppose that's what the job is for, paying for said hobbies. I go on painting spurts which has not been lately due to all the other things calling for my attention. Thankfully its only Pathfinder we use the minis for and not the sheer numbers I get the feeling Warhammer uses (I know precious little about that one).

I don't field a lot of troops yet (and won't, with my new army - specifically because I don't want to paint 100+ models ), but Leo has 75+ and Braith has around 70, I think. I prefer painting planes/ships to minis, but that's probably because I grew up doing that alongside my old man. I do love the Reaper Minis though - they look SO GOOD on the gaming table.

Very true on the mini horde coming in March, lol. I think it might double our current collection, though I've never actually counted them. We've got a lot of the prepainted ones from the two (soon to be three) Battles Sets as well, so at least I don't have to worry about painting all of the ones we have.
It is fun to actually stick down a mini on the table and not have to say "this is not actually what you see". But the expressions I get when I put the huge black dragon down for any huge creature made it worth it.

I bougth the Cthulu add-on. It *will* appear in one of my games.
Tangential note: Have you guys found any tools or tricks to be particularly handy? I know a lot of people use a magnifier of some sort, I've found jeweller's glasses with a light on them are *fantastic*.

We contemplated Cthulu, but we decided not to in favor of the two big dragons, the demons and the skeletal giant.
I never thought of jeweller's glasses, that would make life so much easier. I don't even use a magnifier, but I know I need to... those darned eyes make my life difficult.

Our family just gave us a really nice lamp with a magnifier glass on it for Christmas. It is an OttLite, which I had not heard of before, but it is really nice. It has a light bulb that puts off a more natural light so the colors are more true while you are painting. I haven't really had much time to use it but it is really awesome so far. The only tool I've found that I can't do without is my brush cleaner. I have certainly noticed a difference since starting to use it and now cringe upon seeing the condition of some of my friend's brushes.

This is the one I use. It's got a true white LED on the end of it, and the magnifiers/light is on a swing arm, so you can lift it up if you want to see clearly.

Name (Paizo Boards): Holey Knight (alt. Gintigael Gemweaver) Name (Character): Gintigael Gemweaver Name (FB, if you intend on joining that group as well): Andrew Curtis Hull White Intended Ring(s): Crystal and Iron Interests: Table-top RPGs, fencing, Chefing Questions You Have: No particular questions at the moment.
I'd like Gintigael to be an item crafter, maybe focusing on jewelry, and and enchanter to be able to imbue the items he crafts with magical power.

No worries though, we can't have too many crafters, they attract settlers, merchants, and bandits for the ring of steel to munch on

Omnomnom, crunchy bandits!
If I had the money, I'd roll 5 characters deep.
Hroderich Gottfrei, Steel and Gold (Half-Orc Warlord) NG Gromovoii Malchikh, Crystal (Kobold Research Wizard) N/LN Ffyrnig Ap Braenaru, Wood (Half-Orc Hunter/Druid) CG/CN Thomas Keith, Gold (Human Merchant/Diplomat - Rogue?) NG Peregrinvs, Wood and Iron (Bowyer, Ranger) CG/CN
Obviously, since alignment matters, I'll have to keep my dual-alignment characters more towards what lets them be a part of the settlement, but they'll likely toe that line. We'll see Hrod/Grom for sure, I dunno about the others.
