Drake, I honestly don't know. The devs said that there would be minor tweaks, but moving passes is a bit more than minor in some degree. I bet the pass location near H is correct on the large map. It seems to make more sense there than where it is on the small map. But I haven't seen any actual confirmation yet.

I am hopeful that they will launch a more "final" map when they announce how the guild landrush is going to go down. Speaking of which, do we have a plan or strategy for waking up all our sleeping members? I don't know how the landrush is going to work but I would think people will need to proclaim what guild they have attached themselves to.

I put a message out on the facebook group, and there has been activity there. (I mentioned that there is conversation going on in these boards). I do see more people signing in on the little reader at the bottom of the main page so that is promising. There's also been a lot of "guest" looks which could be people not logging on yet.
Any other ideas are certainly welcome : ).

My personal preferences regarding our original settlement location (should we be able to summon the numbers needed to get one) would be:
1. The neighborhood i.e. who lives next door. To me this would be by far the most crucial factor as if we cannot hold our settlement, it does not really matter how enticing the landscape would be. And obviously the more enticing the landscape, the harder it is going to be, at least in the long run, to hold onto the settlement spot (and surrounding hexes). I would not necessarily want to be anywhere near to any expansionist / aggressive settlements / companies, if I could avoid it (here a slightly lower pick position may actually be an asset as you might be able to see where some of the initial big boys are going locate).
2. The location i.e. how attractive the nearby hexes are and how much competition there is likely to be over them.
3. The needs of our allies meaning that I would consider taking a less desirable spot if this would mean that we together with our allies could get a better spread of hexes.
As the whole land grab thing might work a kin to a draft (except the strongest are likely going to pick first), we should together with our allies be able to basically device a plan to maximize the benefit of this opportunity and to ensure the best possible base for us (and allies) to live long and prosper. This is the case particularly is we will know the order of the picks and picks from those ahead of us before we make our own.
I do not know how our diplomatic endeavors have proceeded but as TEO seems fairly likely to get one of the top picks (or a high pick anyways) and they seem (at least at this time) to be less likely to give into their expansionist desires than some of the other major players, it might not be a bad idea to start discussing a mutual strategy for the land grab (as well as some sort of defensive alliance at least) with them for our mutual benefit.

I cannot say much as yet with so much still up in the air, but I will say that I like Fruben's thinking. TEO's desires are more about building a region of the map with a positive culture. To that end, our expansionist desires are more about bringing in friendlies and allies to cooperate on such an endeavor rather than trying to take a lot of regions ourselves. We are also in pretty heavy internal debates about where to locate, and probably will not settle until we have finalized who wishes to be our neighbors and which of them makes the most sense so that we can measure their input as well.

I for one would honestly not mind having TEO as friendly neighbors. Especially considering I had initially joined both groups before deciding a permanent home (and I thought being a member of two groups may not be a good idea). My wife is a "keeper" so I decided to stay here . So for me, being allied with and physically near TEO in the PFO world is a win-win situation.

The Rush map is a smaller piece of the other Map there are some inconsistencies however I believe that the Rush map is what they will be primarily going by.
WxCougar - Do you know when TEO will be meeting up again, we need to get in on them Aeternum and T7V see if we are all going to be in the general same area.

There is a T7V meeting on Thursday at 19:00 PDT/22:00 EDT. TEO leadership has been invited and I will be attempting to be there. This is part of T7Vs regularly scheduled meetings, but the topic is going to be the landrush. If one or two of your representatives are available, we can work on seeing if it is okay for you guys to sit in. If that turns out to be a bad time, we can work on arranging another time.
At the moment, TEO and T7V are working together to arrange some regional collaboration. Chances are we want to play fairly distant from Aeternum. We do not view them as enemies, but there seems to be little trust between our alliance and theirs. By all means, please speak with all of your options and evaluate what you feel best for your organization. If you have any questions at all about TEO, please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer.

So talking with T7V folks it sounds like we may want to just open the meeting fully to potential allies. The earlier one or two representative qualifier was because T7V has a 10-person Teamspeak. But we decided that we can host the meeting on the old TEO teamspeak that can hold 50 people. So all of your members will be free to pop in and discuss and be able to get a feel for our groups and the folks we are looking to work with. I will post the TEO TS info later, as I do not have it on hand. A few of us are currently on the T7V TS if any of you wanted to pop in and say hello or ask any questions. Probably be there for a little while yet.

I won't be near a computer for a while so I will most likely not get on TS tonight. I will plan on making the meeting on Thursday for sure though.

Thursday's are my Pathfinder (Table top) nights, but it is looking to be a character building session for Skull and Shackles so I'll try and be on and at least listening. (Via Android App and a headset mic)
