I think Bounties are a great place for Shadow and Wood to work together. Our Wolf Pack branch does specialize in hunting things down. But Shadow might have more of a handle on known where the low lifes congregate and such.

I figure also that Shadow is going to want to know about everything about everyone. Where the spying will come in and so forth. The espionage and assassinations of course will be the last resort and not the first thing we would do.

I like the idea of Shadow and Wood working together in reference to Bounty Contracts, I think the two groups will work well together in dealing with those things. I also agree with Cougar, Shadow should have a large spy/intelligence gathering component associated with it. Lastly I think that Shadow should be our underworld contacting group, i.e. we handle dealing with the less than up and up people in the world.

Agreed, Gintigael. I know we have a general bounty board, but what Shadow deals with tends to be a bit more "sensitive," so I imagine you'll have to be a full-fledged member of the group before you can even view particular information within a certain ring. That way, we can't have random individuals from other Guild just signing up with new accounts in order to view what we're talking about.

First post! My first interest lies in Gold, but secondarily in Shadow. I believe Gold will provide our "first response" to folks prior to Shadow (or Iron) responding in less...diplomatic ways. Gold would also be a primary partner with Shadow, I think in information gathering and sharing. I'll be posting in Gold shortly, but wanted to pop in here as well...

Welcome Erian! I'm running on a similar combination for the same reasons though my primary will probably be to Shadow rather than Gold.

I think Gold and Shadow will have a lot of interaction. A Warden of Shadow and a Keeper of Gold in my mind is a merchant/diplomat who travels the countryside gathering intelligence, making deals, initiating diplomatic relations with other organizations, all the while truly gathering intelligence for Shadow and if necessary dealing with our enemies.

Would it be wise to work with Gold as well to set up a black market network?

Do we plan on having illegal goods? Or do we plan in setting up in a place that has illegal goods? If so then a black market is good, but it is useless if no items are illegal where we are set up. Also, the Rings of Iron and Gold wouldn't look to kindly on a Shadow member going around them.

Yeah...I'm not a Black Market kind of guy if it means selling "evil" stuff. Now, if we're selling to rebels that are trying to throw off an evil dictator, I'm in for setting up that market!

I am more for the "subversive smuggling ring" type as well.

No problem with a "subversive smuggling ring" either. As a Neutral Good Company, I think it would be in our best interest to have this type of underground market where goods could be bought and sold. It will allow us to get to know who the non-lawful groups in the area are. These organizations, companies, settlements and kingdoms can and should also be people that we have contact and firm relationships with.

Well we will be setting up a settlement, so the black market would be competing with the settlement. But if such a thing were to form, we would be wise to know about it With the video questions that were answered I have a new perspective on how settlements will function. There will be a wide swing of alignments in every settlement. Even CG and CE both as members of a settlement. It'll be interesting to say the least.
