Basically as the title says, what are we going to do next.
We officially adopted a structure for The Keepers of the Circle, but we don't have much beyond that.
Do we want to flesh out the official powers of each rank? Further detail voting procedures? Elect people to official positions?

I don't think we should worry about voting procedure or rights until we know how they will work mechanically in-game. If we create rules that don't work in the game it will create an extra step for us to do it on the web-site. I'd like us to be able to do everything we can in-game as possible to keep my immersion. I also don't think we should elect officials until closer to launch because our numbers will change. I see us right now as a group of equals trying to suss this out.
Figuring out the "Official Powers" of each rank makes the most sense to me, but we should go about it slowly. We have a lot of unanswered questions about the game, and as they get answered we will know better options. The Settlement/Chartered Company/ "guild" discussion is very important right now. The size issue of Chartered companies now plagues us, but we should figure out what that means to us before anything else.

In the face of limited size for companies it would be easy enough to section off each Ring as its own Company and make the Circle as a whole some higher level organization, be it settlement or nation. If Rings outgrow the size limit they can split off into more specialized groups.
I've been considering this idea for a while now because of our rapid growth and the prospect of eventually becoming a nation. This revelation that Chartered Companies are intended to be small just pushes the idea to an earlier stage of our development.

I am of the opinion we should have at least some sort of temporary hierarchy in place before the game launches. It would help to have established leaders prior so we have a structure to continue building and recruiting. Then as we get more information we can then add the details. And then when the game launches we can have the formal elections for the different positions.
I do agree that a lot of the details will depend on the game itself and what comes out of it mechanic/flavor wise. But I think having that backbone will help us have something to build off of - like our recent vote on member levels. Especially if we end up going toward being a Nation rather than just a Chartered Company.

We've already done a partial round of elections. Most of the Guardians are in position. I think Shadow and Crystal are the only ones without confirmed guardians, at least according to the Members panel on the forums here. We held off on the Sentinel/Watcher until their roles were a bit more fleshed out with the rank structure vote, so I suppose a vote on them will need to be done sometime.
