Guys and girls don't forget to go to Paizo .com and vote on their polls Vote for the next race you'd like to see created in the Pathfinder Online Crowdforging Vote #1. I know Hrod has voted for the Half-Orc . But more importantly, if you haven't already, everybody needs to go and vote on the Kickstarter Land Rush Leaderboard. We're doing pretty good in my opinion. The vast majority of the guilds are behind us. The Empyrean Order leads with 62 votes, giving them 24% of the total votes. Behind them is The Seventh Veil (34 votes, 13%), Pax Aeternum (20 votes, 7%), and behind them is us, The magnificent and awe-inspiring Keepers of the Circle, and tied with us is the Knights of the Crusader Road. Us and the KotCR have 15 votes each giving both of us 5% of the votes each. I know we can pull ahead of them and be the sole holders of 4th place. BUT hopefully we can recruit more Keepers to bolster our ranks and surpass Pax Aeternum. If not that's fine. It still means we're the 4th largest guild in PFO thus far and that is pretty cool.

You know, I was thinking about it. There's PR in favor of leading the poll, but there's some strategic value in not voting... The actual order will be based off a Kickstarter survey. There's the potential for a come out of nowhere... =P

If you think about it, there's over 4,400 who have backed the kickstarter and I'm guessing only over 200 have voted for the Land Rush. I'm guessing people are waiting to make a commitment to a guild until they are all formed.

I'm not so much saying we should all not go vote as that we shouldn't put too much stock in the votes on the paizo forums. They don't *actually* count for anything but PR.

I see it more as a recruiting tool - X people have signed up for KoTC, I see their members active and helpful on the boards - ooh, their premise sounds interesting... Guess I'll check them out... And once you get a ring on your finger, well...

I am a little confused about the purpose of the vote. This isn't the official land-rush tally right? They are going to send something out with the end of the Kickstarter survey? I voted because it said Adventurer and up can vote, but it also says that land-rush will be decided by number of Beta players. So I can vote now, but I won't actually count towards your place in line for getting land right?

At the moment the votes in the thread just give everyone an idea of how many members each guild is likely to field. I'm not sure how they will implement the land rush? I know they will contact the guilds as time gets closer, but that's all I know. Thanks for your vote and welcome!

It sounds like we're assured territory anyway (18-35 hexes are being given out), but I think it's a good way to mark ourselves to the community - the more members we have, the more likely people are to be interested enough to check us out.
I don't think votes correlate exactly to getting land, but it's a good visual. In case you're curious, we've opened diplomatic relations with The Empyrean Order (TEO) and The Seventh Veil (T7V).

I do recall Ryan mentioning that the guild ares will be given out based on membership numbers. So the vote gives us an idea of our position in line to get set up. Can't recall if the guild leader gets to pick from locations or if its just handed out though.

Good call, Valandur. I hope we get some choice in picking them, but even if we don't, we're getting one of those hexes. >:]
