It does. And its neat to see their thought process along the way.

Yeah it is really nice to see that they are really trying to come at it from a lot of angles. I'm torn on friendly fire... I know it is an intergral part of the tabletop experience, but aren't there also feats and items designed to make you harm your party less?

I'm generally ok with Friendly Fire for giant crazy blasty doom. I'd rather not see it for more mundane attacks like melee or ranged weapons. There aren't a whole lot of real mundane AoEs, and most of them are very small in area (Whirlwind attack, for example).

Im very much in favor of what they're doing for "friendly fire." It was always a beef for me when I play games that blaster wizards can just throw em in indiscrimanently. That works in your favor, too. For if there's an enemy caster, he'll be hurting his own minions if he just sits back and nukes you and your companions. It was never strategic or clever use of spells if you can just indiscriminantly throw those explosions without fear of hurting your friends. This adds a whole level of realism. AND it's unlike almost all other MMOs, which will ultimately be a saving grace of PF MMO. They have to be "alternative" to the norm if they're to have any success. You can't compete with WoW or LOTRO - they're too big. So the only way to stand out is counter-programming.
