Dear Keepers,
In the current Paizo PFO thread "Other Open PvP MMOs for Practice" paizo.com/threads/rzs2q2fh&page=1?Other-Open-PvP-MMOs-for-Practice, quite a diverse group is taking interest in trying Darkfall: Unholy Wars as a game to accomplish the following:
1. Provide experience in an open PvP game similar to what PFO will offer for those who have never played such a game.
2. Provide PvP opportunities for PFO players to practice working together as a large group in the event that we should need to do so in PFO against groups like the Goons.
3.Provide an opportunity for various PFO community groups and individuals to get to know each other in a different venue than only the PFO forums, with the hopes that it will promote a greater feeling of unity.
Playing my role as a community networker, I thought I'd bring it to your group's attention and add this:
One of the things that I believe has given this movement some extra fuel has been several interesting posts:
Ryan Dancy - "Darkfall could be interesting as a test case. I'd play it with a GoblinSquad group if one formed..."
Nihimon - "For the record, I'm happy to join a "Goblin Squad" guild in Darkfall, and it wouldn't bother me one bit if Bluddwolf were the guild leader. I'm not nominating him, I'm just saying I don't see much value in trying to create chapters of our own guilds there."
PFO politics aside, I believe this would provide a chance to get to know members of the community better, as well as allowing you to see those members in action within a setting that may be somewhat similar to PFO (for example, you could see how inept I am at PvP). To these ends, I have purchased the game and intend to see what I can offer this movement insofar as it is able to help strengthen the PFO community prior to EE.
