The beauty of it is that you don't have to fall into any of the sub groups. They're just there for kicks almost. Welcome shadowmyst!

I changed the wording on the roster to "Optional Sub-group", I never liked that I had "Role" there but I didn't know what else to write at the time. Now when new members follow that link it will be more in like to how we actually want it to be communicated.

Welcome Shadowmyst. Not a bad idea Nymerias. There may still be a better way to word it but that works for now. It gets the intent across. I'll brainstorm and see if I can come up with something better, but right now all I have is "Unofficially Recognized Loose Affiliation of Like Minded Individuals" and that is just a mouthful.

It is worth noting that I am happy to see that it does work this way - for I see Frostrazor fitting somewhere among the wolves and definitely crossing over to the exploration of the striders....perhaps when the striders are on a mission and need some additional muscle.

Oh for sure! While I might not join the Pack on their everyday hunting ventures, Taela would be saddened if she couldn't join in on the hunt when the prey is those poachers that were abusively harvesting in our protected hexes. The urge to howl now and again will likely over take us all.
She also suffers (or is blessed with) the wanderlust. She would love if a Strider invited her along to explore somewhere new just because it was new. Though she would likely be looking for rare plants or animals the whole time.
So while she enjoys the activities of the other two, the reasons behind them are oft influenced by the ideals of the Whisperers. That's why I felt comfortable with claiming association with one group over the others.

That's why I felt comfortable with claiming association with one group over the others. Oh exactly! And I love to explore as well - but for the purpose to not just discovery but to ensure the borders are safe, and monsters dispatched, etc. So I see myself accompanying the striders as a sword-arm to assure they are well protected while you're berry picking and salve gathering. The best part is if I get injured, you'll be there to apply acquired salves. I'd rather it be you than Hrod or Doomcrow ;D

You might think that, but if you get injured fighting off a bear, she is more likely to go make sure the bear is okay before she checks on you

Have you seen Ulfen? They're practically blonde bears themselves. =P

Well met, Circle of Wood.
Though I have introduced myself on several other threads I must apologize for being so remiss as to neglect this one.
I am Elken Krimm. I am a Half-Elven (possibly just human?) Ranger wandering into the River Kingdoms from the Southwest. I believe I could serve this circle well as a Keeper and a Strider.
I have very much enjoyed reading up on 5 months worth of posts here (whew!) and will enjoy keeping up with KotC developments from here forward even more!
So, dear Nymerias, feel free to add me to your roster. My lady will be joining us eventually as an Elven Druid Whisperer, but bear with me as I try to wring more info out of her!
