As we are currently the 4th largest group on the land rush boards, I was thinking it might be time to open up a diplomatic thread here. So that we can keep track of who we have opened relations with.
Thoughts?

I believe we've established contact with the Empyrean Order and the Seventh Veil.

I haven't seen anyone from other Guilds post on here, but I think it would be good to have to section set aside for when it does happen. but in the mean time, Ring of Gold (or anyone) could go to other Guilds and have fun chats and spread the good word of the Circle

Hrod has established relations with at the least 2 other Companies, The Seventh Veil and The Empyrean Order. *looks around for Gold member* uh this may be a conversation that should be happening in your Ring.

Erian,
I made contact with/opened friendly relations with T7V and TEO. I'll catch you up on the thread in Gold (working my way through everything I missed yesterday).

It might be good to discuss what the attitude will be to non-good organisations.
Fortunately there are no Drow to deal with, a CE race living in what is effectively a LE society can be hard to deal with.
Aside from alliances (which generally entail obligations to help out in need) with non-good organizations there are also options of non-aggression pacts and "special deals" along the lines of leave these people/areas alone we leave you alone.
Some thoughts for discussion:
Neutral on Good/Evil axis - Assuming any LN groups exist they would be fine to make arrangements with if they play the lawful part of their alignment correctly. However this is two steps away from us. - TN should also be fine providing they are proven trustworthy. Also TN is only one step from the Keepers alignment. - CN is also two steps from the keepers alignment. However is chaotic an issue with regard to sticking to agreements?
Evil on Good/Evil axis
Clearly a good organisation will not make alliances with Evil ones. There is always some scope for diplomacy and in cases agreements may be reached that limits the ill effects of these organisations.
- LE groups if they roleplay correctly should keep agreements. A pact to decline bounties provided they stay out of our territory completely might work for example. - CE groups ... these guys could be a serious worry to deal with on more than a threat vs counterthreat basis.
Just tossing ideas around.

I don't believe that we should act on judgements due to Alignment too much. It should be used as a guideline, though. Making alliances with evil settlements? I don't think so, but we shouldn't disregard them unless they are attacking us or our friends. On the other side, just cause someone is good doesn't mean we should automatically like them and bend over whenever they ask us to. Someone with a good alignment might still try and take resources from our hexes or snipe our dungeons.

As a note, I've reached out to all groups I could find, regardless of alignment. For the Evil groups, I noted our differences but offered that we could still likely find a means of living peacefully. For Good groups, especially those with very similar goals to us, I was more up front in discussing trade, military, etc. agreements. None of this will be finalized, obviously, without approval and discussion within the Circle.
