So, new $10 add on, new title. Secret Handshake emote. Adventurer bonus, everyone getting in at $35 now gets in the last month of EE, rather than Open Enrollment, yey. Crowdforger bonus, everyone crowdforger pledging before $1M gets in month one EE, yey. Two bonus Reaper METAL minis, double yey. Now the real reason for this thread. Adventurer and Crowdforger Reward Bonus - Invite A Friend: Shieldmate
We want to encourage backers to entice their friends to join the Kickstarter. In the post-Project survey process you'll be able to link to a friend's pledge, and if that friend accepts, you and your friend get a special benefit. Characters on your Kickstarter accounts will bear the Mark of Awesome. Any time two or more characters with the Mark of Awesome are in a party, everyone with the Mark of Awesome will gain a synergy bonus. In addition, your friend will be awarded all the Daily Deals as of the date you first pledged to back the Kickstarter. Each backer will only be able to invite one Friend and accept one invitation, which will be permanent (but you can change your invite if your friend request is denied). I'd like to see all of us in at this point get the Mark of Awesome, so I'm creating this thread for people who need someone to pair up with to find someone. That said, I'm looking to pair with someone, but because I'm an alpha (and was the 33rd backer to the project), I'd like to see it go to someone who's missing Daily Deals so they can jump on my pledge date to get all of them.

I pledged on the 6th day, so got all items from the 22nd on. Everyone who has pledge already should do this. We may want to chart this out to make sure that everyone gets it. *looks around for Erian* I volunteer Erian to make a chart of all current members, indicating who that individual should "invite" so that everyone gets the Mark of Awesome.

I'm already putting together a spreadsheet of everyone for other reasons, I can add this to it.

Cool, and it sounds like we will have some time before we need to "Invite" our friends to be a shieldmate. Also, Accounts associated with Guild and Buddy levels will each have their own invite: "Pledges for Buddy and Guild level rewards get 2x and 6x accounts, respectively, that you will be able to allocate as you see fit (and there is no need to worry, there's no rush)."

Wait, Dario does spreadsheets too? Dang, it's like we're the same person! Well, except he's in alpha cause he's rollin' in cash...
I'm in at Buddy from day 1, so get all the daily deals. If I can work my wife in, one Shieldmate would go to her, but we'll still have another open.

I pledged on 12/20, so I have most of the items but really want to make it to the goggles if possible. I also have my buddy, as well as another Buddy level of real life friends. My friends didn't sign up until a few days ago so they will be missing most of the daily deals. I understand that friendship pairs will likely be going to actual guildmates first( and ones that would gain more from it than me ), and I can't get my real life people to agree to join anything. But if there are extra friend slots out there I would greatly appreciate them being considered.

I've set up a quick google doc for anyone interested to plug in their info. I think I've collected everything so far. Shieldmates KOTCQuick guide, in the Daily Deals column, mark "All" if you get them all, if not, mark the number you're missing (eg. Daily deals started on the 16th, if you joined on the 20th, mark -4. If you're not sure, estimate). In the Shieldmates column, mark how many accounts you have at that date that are free to bond.

I have all the deals from the 6th on and have six accounts. (Between now and Early enrollment I just have to convince friends to play.)

Is Crowdforger Buddy what you mean by Buddy Level?
The reason I got the buddy level is so that one of my friends could also participate in the game and this guild (I sent him a link for here, so he should be popping up in a week or two).
So, if we each have a separate shieldmate, does that mean we can't shieldmate together?
I guess I still do not fully understand what levels are best shieldmated to.
Anyway, I filled in that I have two for now. Once my friend joins I'll move it over from my account to his on the spreadsheet.
Edit: I saw a question on the kickstarter page and I didn't see an answer yet so just in case...My original pledge was at -1 for the daily items. However, I upgraded to buddy level more recently. If that reset what items I get then I lost most of them. I don't know how it keep track and if that will be an issue or not.

From what I've read of the forums about the Shieldmate thing:
Shieldmate is a flag on all the characters on an account. As long as more then one character in a group has a Shieldmate Flag all characters in the group with Shieldmate Flags will recieve the bonus. This is reguardless of if your "Friend" who your linked accounts with the Shieldmate link is in your gorup. It is just a flag on all accounts that have linked with another account.
Deciding what account to link to for those who have already selected their pledge level will only effect how many of the Daily Deals they get. Both accounts will get the better of the two. So if one account was pledged on day 1, and another yesterday, both would get all Daily Deals if they became Shieldmates with each other.
They have stated that you CAN shieldmate with the account associated with a budy level pledge, but the only bennifit you can get from that is the shieldmate flags on both accounts. If you already qualify for all daily deals it would make no difference to either of you if you link to each other, or other people. (Except it means you are loosing the opertunity to get those daily deals for other people.) If, on the other hand, you didn't pledge early enough to get all daily deals then if each of you instead link with some one who IS already getting all the daily deals then you will als get all the daily deals.
To try and put it a bit more simple.
Crowdforger Budy gets you 2 Crowdforger Pioneer accounts that you may assigne to whoever you want.
Each Adventurer level or higher (including Crowdforger Pioneer) account can then make a "Friend" request to some one else with at least a Adventurer level account to link their accounts. On Acceptance, both accounts recieve the Shieldmate Flag (this is a flag, not a link) and, as currently worded, the Invitee recieves all the daily deals from the date the Inviter pledged.
There is a bit if uncertainty at this moment on if it really means both accounts get the BETTER of both accounts Daily Deals, or if the one with the better must be the one doing the inviting.

Thanks Drake, that explanation was great. I understand it now.
