Eeeeeee! Have you read Bernard Cornwell's Warlord Chronicles? Incredible low-fantasy (almost no fantasy) retelling of Arthur set in a somewhat more accurate time/grounding.

If you "like" Bernard Cornwell on FB or keep an eye on his website, a different book goes on sale each month for about $2 - or that's how it has seemed the last three months. I've picked up all of The Saxon Stories, so if you have an amazon kindle account, I can lend them to you I believe.
He's probably my favorite author of historical fiction - and his historical notes at the end of each book always lead me to read a bunch of non-fiction too!
Thomas of Hookton is amazing. The new book (1356) is a continuation of his story, if you finished the Grail Quest books.
