Maybe we need immature people to point out things like that. We won't be able to stop name-calling, but we don't have to hand it too them on a platter, like the parents of my friend Justin Case. I like Ympyrae (i forgot how to spell it, maybe that could be an issue), but maybe we could do something that has to do with where the city is built, if its in a forest it could be Ringwood, or by a lake Ringwood-by-the-Lake, or on a hill Hillcrest.

It's also possible to play with the spelling of it to make it more phonetic. I often find a name I like in my writing and then play with the spelling of it or even combine names to make new ones.

Looking it up again... "Imp-ehr-ah" - but roll that R a little. Interesting, I kinda like that Maybe play with the spelling a bit as Cougar suggested?

I'd just drop the umlaut off the 'a' if it were me. (If only because nobody's gonna type it anyway, let's be realistic here. =P)

I like Ympeyra the most, I think. I love umlauts, but only because I still remember the alt+number code for most of them. Thank you, German classes.

Personally, I think we should go with something simple and easy to remember. Nothing that I've seen seems like something that people will remember.

You do have a good point about the ability to remember (or spell/pronounce) a place name being good. I recall earlier in the boards gintigael mentioned waiting to find out where this settlement will be and use the surroundings for a name suggestion as well. That's also a good idea.

Ympeyra, while it has a really good sound to it, it doesn't seem to fit in with the Guild. It has connotations of Imperial which we are not. If this were Pax Aeterna then I would say use that Ympeyra, but we're more peaceful and less expansionist.
