I like the all black sigil style design, but I also like the image you made with the 3 circles on the elections thread. Is it possible to see what it looks like without the words? I prefer the colored version, but they're both very good designs.

I do like the idea of color, but I think B&W can be used more consistently. I think the inner circle symbol is clear on the B&W and not as much on the color.
On a much less valid note, I am not a fan of the super bright colors on the colored one. But that is super personal preference. I still like the colored version a lot.

I agree that the inner circle symbol is clearer in the B/W, but I find it's difficult to see the individual rings in the B/W. It would seem that either the individual rings or the inner circle symbol will be hard to see. I guess there could be some design that could eaisily display both though.

I can play with the symbol in various forms (stone, wood, engraved, embossed, etc.) to see what that looks like as well. Distinction could be made for the Inner Circle by filling in areas with marquis-cut stones and a solitaire cut in the middle.

It may help with less bright ring colors or thicker ring lines. (In the colored version)

The colors were just a placeholder, I can make them whatever everyone wants. They were also helping me keep track of the individual rings. I am working on cleaning up the B&W version so that it is easier to see individual rings during breaks every couple hours from work, so I don't know if it will be done today or not yet. As requested attached is what I used for the officer discussion with all of the names removed. I am also thinking about posting the B&W design without the outer circle and seeing if people like it better or worse. Attachments:

Here is the Sigil design without an outer circle. Do you prefer the circle present or removed? Attachments:

I think I liked it better with the outer ring.

I agree with Dario I like it with the outer ring better. I really appreciate you posting the other image as well. Seeing it right next to the sigil image makes it seem like the sigil one is much clearer.

I like the outer circle as well. We could also move the circles closer together, allowing their outer edges to form the outer circle more naturally. That would also make the inner circle design more evident.
Heh, our group is a Venn diagram, which seems appropriate.

I wouldn't want to move them in too much. You want the ring to have some space of it's own =P

I agree--they couldn't go in too much more. I think adding the 9th ring, signifying the Circle, works best but figure if someone wants to see an "8 rings only" option there was some visual wiggle-room there.

Upon Erian El'ranelen's suggestion, I brought the circles closer just to see what it would look like. It does give a larger inner circle, and if you really want each ring to interlock with every other ring this is the way to do it. Overall I think I like the smaller inner circle with outer circle, but this design has it's merits as well. Depends on what aspects of the group we want to emphasize more. Attachments:

And again in color for those of you who can't trace the black rings. Attachments:

Zaluke, you are awesome. Thanks for sharing all these different options. I also agree that the original sigil with outer circle is my favorite.
