I agree with you Nymerias that it is not about who knows who as compared to who had the original idea. I also agree Calhoun is great and currently I believe he should be gaurdian. I guess I would like to have seen it given a little more time and our player base expand a little and gotten to know each other a little more. So I should probably withdrawl me previous statement, but I still will provide my proposal a little latter. I was not trying to say I dont believe any of those nominated should not be the leaders, just a little more time alloted for everyone to make a decision and slightly more formal. I thank and congradulate all those that have chosen to take a leadership role and I will do my best to serve.

The problem with putting it off is that several of our discussions on guild topics were beginning to circle themselves. Many of the people in leadership positions are the ones who stepped in to help chart a clearer course for their respective sections. Not to mention, the people in leadership positions aren't locked into them forever, we're already discussing what the election cycles will look like. They're simply the individuals who stepped up at the beginning with a clear set of goals and ideas.

As an example for this, I have no expectation of being Guardian of Gold when the game actually launches. I think the idea of having full and open elections prior to that time is sound. It empowers the members to affect the organization and have confidence in leadership.

I agree with that, I think we should insist on full elections just prior to the start of EE (But after Alpha). I see the Guardians we have selected now as here to shape the guild prior to EE and a Guardian who may be a good choice for that, might not be as good a choice when it comes to actualy Running the Ring after we start playing. That is not to say we can't or shouldn't have elections before then as well, just that we sould probably plan now to have elections then.

With EE not for more than a year, I suspect we'll have an election cycle or two between now and then.
